Max Studio Opens its First European Flagship Location in London

Brightening up what has been a particularly cold and dreary London Winter is the arrival of some California sunshine in the form of Los Angeles based clothing label Max Studio. Opening just as the Spring 2012 collection hits the store, customers can look forward to goddess worthy chiffon gowns in bright, saturated hues, romantic watercolour floral frocks and a selection of sleek black dresses to suit every mood. Along with these party perfect pieces are cleverly designed essentials from decadent knits and chic workday suits, to dressed up t women's jackets ees and casually cool shorts.

Located at 229 Westbourne Grove, the 3,000 square foot store carries a selection of both the limited edition Leon Max Collection and the Max Studio line, with new styles brought in every two weeks. Based around smart casual items, the Max Studio line includes tops, knitwear, outerwear, trousers, footwear and accessories, retailing at ?75 to ?1000. The Leon Max Collection has a stronger focus on tailoring and formal styles with prices hitting about 30% higher.

The London store is the first in a number of planned UK and European doors scheduled to open. Having been available in Europe exclusively online and in small distribution, the brand combines its California aesthetic with the traditionalism inspired by it's new design studio and headquarters located in the beautiful Baroque country estate Easton Neston in Northamptonshire.

As an introduction of the brand to the London scene pre-opening, Mr. Max gave a series of parties that were attended by the UK's style elite. The Summer party in July at Easton Neston was co-hosted by Josephine de La Baume and Mary Charteris, It was attended by the smart and beautiful set including Pixie Geldof, Nicholas Kirkwood, Lara Bohinc, Plum Sykes and Edie Campbell. The Winter Dance in December was also flocked to by London's young socials; Clara Paget, Daisy Lowe and Amber Le Bon walked in the inaugural UK fashion show while the dinner was attended by Georgia May Jagger and Jerry Hall, Nicky Haslam, George Lamb and the Marquess of Bristol among others.
